While Canon currently only provides Linux drivers for the PIXMA products, other printer and scanner series Linux drivers are still maintained by the commun. I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 in place of Windows XP. Canon MP240 does not work in Ubuntu. All the posts I found regarding the drivers were for Ubuntu v10.
