It does work flawlessly. For the drivers you have to hunt on the net. Graphics - nvidia site chipset - intel site audio- realtek site keyboard - input remapper bluetooth - will not work. I am unable to fine winxp 64bit drivers.

Regarding general capability of Mac hardware to run 64-Bit Windows you can take it to the bank that all Core 2 Duo processors and all Xeons are 64-Bit capable. Hardware 64-Bit virtualization support works on all Mac fitted Xeons and on C2Ds from 7400 model upwards. Regarding the EFI there is a bug in all 2006-mid 2008 laptop models that prevents you to boot from optical disks with multiple images. That was fixed in late 2008 with the introduction of the unibody models. I believe that Mac Pros got that fix when they changed to the 64-Bit EFI. But on that issue I'm not sure.
